Mark your calendars now! The Virginia Hospitality & Travel Association (VHTA) is hosting the Richmond Tourism Summit on Wednesday, August 1st from 8:00am to 1:30pm at the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center. The Summit will include presentations and panel discussion from industry experts highlighting sports tourism and its economic importance to Virginia as well as social media, branding, and research.
To kick off the Summit Jack Berry, President & CEO of the Greater Richmond Convention & Visitor’s Bureau will be giving the welcoming remarks followed by two back-to-back breakout sessions. These breakouts will consist of 1) social media and branding, and 2) research and application.
Following the breakout sessions, there will be lunch and a panel discussion on "How Sports Tourism Can Benefit Your Business". Learn about the importance of sports, and travel and tourism. Sports tourism is one of the fastest-growing areas of the travel and tourism industry and extremely important to communities as an instant revenue generator. Panelists include:

The Richmond Tourism Summit is hosted by the Virginia Hospitality & Travel Association (VHTA) at $55 per person in advance or $60 per person at the door. All are encouraged to attend.
