Scenes from the VADMO Fall Meet Up in Winchester

Laurel Grove Wine Farm

It was an exciting tour of this facility that is currently under development. The final destination will include a Farm Store, a tasting room and more.

West Oak Farms

VADMO attendees pose for a group picture at West Oak Farms.

This is a family-owned and operated agribusiness that has been tilling their land since the early 1700's after receiving the deed from Lord Fairfax. West Oak Farms has been passed down through the family for 11 generations.  The Farm Store and grounds offer great food, produce, family recreation and a special events and banquet facility.

Homestead Farms and Fruit Hill Orchard

VADMO attendees enjoyed Family Night and Blue Grass music on the lawn at Homestead Farms, an orchard and farm that is run by the founding family's fifth generation.

Fox Urban Farms

Fox Urban Farms, LLC is a hydroponic container farming venture serving the City of Winchester, VA with hyper-local, fresh, delicious lettuces, leafy greens, micro-greens, herbs, and edible flowers year-round. VADMO members toured their facility in downtown Winchester.

Wild Feather Farms

VADMO Fall Meet Up attendees enjoy Goat Yoga at Wild Feather Farms, along with a tour of this community-focused facility.

At Wild Feather farm market, the mission is to connect local farmers and producers with the community, providing a platform for sustainable agriculture, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of community. They organize workshops and farm tours to connect the community with the sources of their food and inspire a deeper appreciation for the efforts that go into producing it. Wild Feather also prioritizes the support of small-scale producers and helping them thrive by providing a direct market for their products.

Thanks go to Justin Kerns and the staff of the Winchester Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau for an outstanding job of planning and hosting this event.
