Join VACVB as we visit and explore the beautiful City of Charlottesville and the surrounding area of Albemarle County as we stay at the wonderful Boar's Head Inn. 

Schedule Daily educational sessions, breakfast and lunches to take place at the Boar's Head Inn.  The center is a quick 5 minute drive from the Comfort Inn.

• Eric Breckoff, Associate Professor of Culinary Arts from Piedmont Virginia Community College will talk about his new program.
• David Jeck Jr., Culinary Student, will help compare the program to his culinary schooling in Vermont.
  
• Bill Justus, Executive Chef at Boar's Head Inn, will sit in on the discussion.

12:00-1:00 Lunch

• Andrea Hubbell, Sarah Sheilds and Jenny Paurys will discuss their book  Charlottesville Commons and how local foods impact tourism and the community.
  

1:00-5:00 Culinary Tour

• Ash Lawn-Highland for open hearth cooking demo and food preparation and preservation.
• Main Street Market for tastings at Gearhart and Albemarle Bakery.
• A Reception at The Local.

• Emily Furnari and Alyssa Parr, doctoral students at UVA, will discuss the findings of a recent survey they conducted through the Curry School on, "Attitudes and Perceptions of Diversity in Virginia tourism Organizations".
  
• Paige Read will discuss the Virginia Tourism's efforts with the State Tourism Plan.
• Sue Gass & Stephanie White, owners of Stevie G's Gluten Free Bakery, will talk about the 'gluten free craze' happening now.

12:00-2:00 Lunch & Member Meetings
