Our Program

Industry luminary Berkeley Young will be our keynote speaker and will give two presentations on August 7th.  A frequent instructor at Southeast Tourism Society College and regional and national conferences his presentations entitled "Changing Expectations of the Traveler" and "Rethinking Your Group Sales Strategy" will give attendees an excellent opportunity to hear the latest.

On August 6th, Tom Griffin of  Virginia Green Travel Alliance will talk about the "New Paradigm of Green Meeting Planning" including consumer perception and new information for meeting planners ... all while experiencing a green certified venue.

Also on August 6th, Darren Smith, will give a presentation on the Traipse mobile app.  Traipse is not just another way for people to spend more time fiddling with their smartphones. Traipse is a catalyst for people to connect with a community - its history, its geography, and its commerce - in a fun, active, and social way.  We will then Traipse Staunton so be sure to bring your apple product (iOS6 or higher) or Android (2.3.3 and up) to participate.
